Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

1. In December I'll be 68 years old. 2. 6 years ago I started painting portraits in oil for the first time in my life. 3. What I look like : long silver/gray, wavy/frizzy hair and Birkenstock sandals with fleece socks for the wintertime.

Please finish this statement: I consider myself an

introvert

What brought you to this site?

Primarily to have friends who are making art because working out of my home, without any sort of art community, sometimes I feel a sense of loneliness

Anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

Yes, I do enjoy watching Jane's videos- the ones where she's just talking to us about this and that. Jane has an easy, relaxed approach to the creative process.

  • Hi Elizabeth....I am 68 as well. I started painting when I was 60....except for a still life I did at 17....which I still have. I yet have to develop a style....I change what I do as often as I change my socks.
  • Hi Elizabeth, thanks for comment and friend request. I really love your portraits, and particularily like the juxtaposition of the male and female. I have only been painting 7 yrs, although i have always made art in one form or another. I feel i am still developing my style. I learn as i go along, and yes nice not to be so isolated in the making. This is the first time i have ever joined any kind of art community. It's a new experience as is sharing my art, except with friends and family.
