  • Hi Jane,

Thank you for all the hard work you put into this site, I am aware it isn't that easy to keep going, so thank you. I have put up my class photo in the photo section as I need some input.....anyone with a suggestion on how I can move forward with this painting? Thanks in advance Lorrayne Berthold from Australia
    • Hi Lorrayne, This isn't my post but regardless, I'm glad you are here and thanks for sharing your work in the Photo section!

  • Sometimes we fear change we remain way too long with "the devil we know" as the saying goes; rather than take that scary step into the unknown. Betcha many doors have opened for you now that you have closed one. Empty passes. Easy to say. Most of us have been there. I know I have. You are a brave woman....I know that much for sure Jane
  • Well set yourself free. Enjoy your new status. is therapy. Wonder if the skeleton assignment has anything to do with your life at the moment....a thought.
    • YES! You got that! Death does not need to be looked at as a bad thing. It's transformational. <3 I did not think all that through prior to posting the challenge but after I shared it, I did think...huh? Strange how I chose a skeleton...or bones..or death...or emptiness...or however you look at it. Seeing as how I feel like I've just lost someone..I feel empty...something has definitely died. Then I told myself, death isn't such a bad thing. It's all a matter of perception.

  • Feeling much the same as Rose and Denise. I am not generally a person who blogs or engages in "group stuff" on the computer. This is my first ever group, Thanks Jane for all your hard work and inspiration. Each day I look forward to getting on here to see what's new.
  • I just want to say that I'm so happy to be a part of this community. I want this to be successful for Jane as she has put a lot of thought and effort to get this off the ground. And I'm looking forward to new classes and seeing all of our art here so we can inspire and support one another. Thank you Jane!! Right now I'm visiting family up here in Canada. So art is on hold for a couple weeks. But I'm excited to get back home and unleash. I'm loving it here in BC and am trying to decide where I want to live in a couple of years when I retire. I'm originally from Canada and it keeps calling me back. That's my struggle right now. And of course I want to live where I'm inspired to create!! Anyhow thanks for listening. ❤️
    • I agree, I really respect what Jane has done, bringing this up to a new level for us by truly nurturing by her community! It's the first place that I have felt a strong sense of community and I want to support that too! Rose, enjoy your trip back home, and remember no matter where you live we will all still be here!
      • Awww...and now that I've been set free from the girlfriend cage, I have more to give everyone here <3

    • are such a sweetheart...enjoy your family. Can't wait to have you back making art when the time is right.

This area is a place to check in and let other's know where we are at. A place to be heard.

Writing is a great way to share information and get things off your chest. If you have something you'd like to share regarding your artistic journey, this is a good place to do it. Maybe discuss a current project you are working on, an experience you had, or simply what's been going on in that head of yours. Maybe you are into poetry and feel like sharing that. Whatever it may be, I encourage you to blog a little...ramble and rant if you want. Check in daily if you'd like. Perhaps post a video of yourself. Whatever feels right for you.

This should go without saying, but...before you comment on someone else's blog, check yourself and make sure you are being kind. Let's all help to make this a safe and supportive atmosphere. Words matter.
