Re-working a Painting

Hello Everybody,

I have not been here in a while and wanted to check in.  See what everybody is up to etc. etc.  I called in sick to work on Thursday (bad me) and re-worked a painting that I thought I had finished over a year ago.  I had varnished it and everything.  I just thought it needed more.  So I painted over the varnish and that worked fine for me.  I changed her eyes and I added a branch and an owl.  I'm really into owls these days.  LOL.  I wrote on the branch the following words "All that exists is the sacred silence of now.  Call forth the angels to lift us high and to lay us down".  I was inspired by Sara LaRosa and her writing of "Beautiful Broken Things" in the 2015 We'Moon date book.  It's a beautiful book full of artwork, essays, poems and is a moon calendar as well.    I'm calling the painting "All That Exists" and I think it's finished now.

This area is a place to check in and let other's know where we are at. A place to be heard.

Writing is a great way to share information and get things off your chest. If you have something you'd like to share regarding your artistic journey, this is a good place to do it. Maybe discuss a current project you are working on, an experience you had, or simply what's been going on in that head of yours. Maybe you are into poetry and feel like sharing that. Whatever it may be, I encourage you to blog a little...ramble and rant if you want. Check in daily if you'd like. Perhaps post a video of yourself. Whatever feels right for you.

This should go without saying, but...before you comment on someone else's blog, check yourself and make sure you are being kind. Let's all help to make this a safe and supportive atmosphere. Words matter.
